(B, L) Breakfast at the hotel. This morning board, a high-speed catamaran. Your destination is the unique wilderness of the Outer Great Barrier Reef. This is your opportunity to explore the magic of the reef. A Marine Biologist will conduct informative lectures on marine life during the day. It is an area of extraordinary beauty, an amazing underwater world filled with colour and variety. View the exotic reef, abounding with myriads of tropical fish for you to discover, and be amazed by the magnificent coral formations. After lunch you may swim, snorkel, or ride in a semi-submersible coral viewer.

07 June KURANDA SCENIC RAIL - RAINFORESTATION – ARMY DUCK RIDE –

(B, L) This morning, transfer to Freshwater Station, to board the scenic Kuranda Rail and journey through breathtaking scenery, before arriving at picturesque Kuranda Station. Free time to enjoy this unique mountain village, which is populated by alternative life-stylers. On arrival in to Kuranda, transfer to Rainforestation. This property of 40 hectares including 30 hectares of dense rainforest is set in the midst of the World Heritage rainforest. Tour this World Heritage Rainforest by World War II amphibious Army Ducks, a totally unique and exciting experience on land and water. View a performance by the Pamagirri Aboriginal Dancers. They will open a door of understanding to this ancient culture by sharing their stories and spirits, depicting the Dreamtime, the animals, traditional hunting and food gathering. After lunch, board Skyrail, an enclosed cable car which takes you skimming across the rainforest canopy taking in breathtaking views of the Coral Sea and Green Island, to Caravonica Lakes at the base of the range. Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Cairns airport for your flight to Darwin. Upon arrival in Darwin, you will be met and assisted with your transfer to the hotel. The remainder of the day is free at leisure. Darwin is Australia's northernmost city, the capital of Northern Territory, a modern, mellow, mini metropolis at the tip of the top end. Darwin sits astride a peninsula that projects into one of the finest natural harbours on the Australian Coast. There are plenty of beaches, parks and reserves over looking the huge harbour, giving you endless choices from where to watch the spectacular sunsets. With year round tropical warmth and cosmopolitan atmosphere, it makes a great base for visiting nearby attractions like Kakadu, Litchfield and many other attractions.

09 June 2 DAY KAKADU NATIONAL PARK TOUR

(B) Breakfast at the hotel. South of Darwin, the Arnhem Highway enters Kakadu National Park, a World Heritage Site. KakaduThis tour will introduce you to the wonders of Kakadu, its unique wildlife and the beautiful monsoonal forest scenery. Travel via the Adelaide River and Marrakai Plains deep into the National Park. Enroute we visit the Window on the Wetlands display. The Top End Wetlands are regions of great contrasts and cover huge areas, much of which are difficult to reach. The Visitors Centre provides an informative educational overview on the flora, fauna and history of the area. Watch out for wildlife, birds and wallabies, as we make our way to Nourlangie Rock, an area of great archaeological significance and Aboriginal rock art. View the Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre, and view informative displays depicting local Aboriginal culture.

10 June DAY 2 OF 2 DAY KAKADU NATIONAL PARK TOUR – RETURN TO

(B) Breakfast at the hotel. This morning, transfer to Cooinda and the famous Yellow Waters Billabong. Here join an exciting boat cruise to observe the saltwater crocodiles and tropical birdlife. Yellow Waters is a tranquil location of locked wetlands fringed by pandanus, bamboo, paperbark and monsoon rainforest. You will have the opportunity to see some of the myriad birdlife and the awesome saltwater crocodile. Brolgas, Jabiru, Whistling Dunks, Radjah Shellduck & Magpie Geese together with many species of Kingfisher and heron abound in these wetlands. Continue to Ubirr (Obiri Rock) where a great number of rock drawings can be viewed. Visit the new Bowali Visitor Centre before returning to Darwin.

11 June DARWIN TO ALICE SPRINGS (air)

(B) Breakfast at the hotel. This morning, transfer to Darwin airport for your flight to Alice Springs. Upon arrival in Alice Springs, transfer to your hotel. This afternoon, enjoy a tour of this historic town. This remarkable tour of the town of Alice Springs covers many of the most interesting highlights. These include the original water hole – the Alice Spring – at the historic Old Telegraph Station. Visit the Royal Flying Doctor Service and learn how this marvellous facility operates to provide a "Mantle of Safety" to people of the outback. See how routine medical clinics are provided to isolated outback areas. We call in at the School of the Air. This is the biggest classroom in the world at 1.3 million square kilometres. For children living in isolated communities around the territory, it is the only classroom they know. The Alice Springs School of the Air was the first of its type, officially opening in 1951 and is a system used only in Australia. Interpretive displays demonstrate the important role it has in the Outback and on school days you can hear lessons being broadcast. Take in the panoramic view of Alice Springs and the MacDonnell Ranges from Anzac Hill lookout.

12 June ALICE SPRINGS TO AYERS ROCK (coach) – SOUNDS OF SILENCE

(B, D) Breakfast at the hotel. This morning, board your coach and travel through the unique Central Australian countryside to Ayers Rock (approximately 5 hours). Ayers RockUpon arrival in Ayers Rock, transfer to your hotel. This afternoon, visit Mt Olga and view the spectacular rock formations and be dwarfed by these 36 huge, mysterious domes. This is part of the Uluru National Park, a region now given back to the Aboriginal people and leased back to the nation. This evening enjoy the "Sounds of Silence" - the quietest restaurant on earth. You will be transferred to a desert dune where you will sip champagne and listen to the haunting sounds of the didgeridoo as you watch a magnificent sunset over Kata Tjuta. When the sun has finally set, lanterns are lit and a delicious Northern Territory gourmet barbecue is served. After dinner the lights go down revealing a star filled sky, clearer and brighter than most city dwellers will ever see. The resident Astronomer will then introduce you to the magnificent constellations, stars and planets that make up the skies of the Southern Hemisphere.

13 June ABORIGINAL CULTURE TOUR – AYERS ROCK TO SYDNEY (air)

Breakfast in the early morning light with panoramic view of Uluru from the magnificent Uluru Cultural Centre restaurant. After breakfast browse the Cultural Centre's Aboriginal art galleries, shops and interpretative displays, before joining your Aboriginal guides on the Liru Tour. This tour is a walk of discovery along a path to Uluru following the track of the ancestral Liru. Hear the ancient Tjukurpa of the Western Brown Snake, the Liru. Watch demonstrations of traditional bush skills such as how to make adhesive resin from spinifex grass, a multi-purpose spear thrower from the mulga tree and a water carrying bowl from the inner bark of the bloodwood tree. 14 June SYDNEY CITY SIGHTS - OPERA HOUSE – HARBOUR LUNCHEON CRUISE

(B, L) Breakfast at the hotel. This morning, enjoy a city sights tour visiting the historical Rocks area, where the First Fleet landed in 1788 to establish Australia's first European settlement. SydneyObserve examples of early architecture and the beautiful sandstone buildings, made out of the same rocks, which gave this area its name. Visit the Sydney Opera House, described as the Eighth Wonder of the World for a guided tour. See St Mary's Cathedral, Parliament House, Darling Harbour, Chinatown and Mrs Macquarie's Chair. Continue on through cosmopolitan Kings Cross, Rushcutters Bay, Double Bay and Watson's Bay before stopping at the world famous Bondi Beach. Your tour will conclude at the harbour in time for your luncheon cruise on magnificent Sydney Harbour. See spectacular views of the Sydney Opera House, Sydney Harbour Bridge, Fort Denison, million dollar mansions and the bays and inlets that dot the harbour.

(B, L) Breakfast at the hotel. This morning, board your coach to travel west of Sydney to follow the trail of Australia's early explorers as we climb the Blue Mountains. Blue MountainsVisit Sydney's leading Koala Wildlife Sanctuary where you will have the opportunity to see our famous Koala and many other unique Australian animals. Continue on to the Blue Mountains, which are aptly named by the distinctive blue haze, caused by light striking droplets of eucalyptus oil evaporating from the gum trees. The Blue Mountains National Park covers an area of 247,021 hectares, abundant in rare wildlife, flora and fauna. Discover the "Grand Canyon" of giant rock formations, geological history, deep tree studded valleys and cascading waterfalls. View the world famous rock formation "The Three Sisters" and panoramic views of the Jamieson Valley, Mount Solitary and the Ruined Castle. Lunch at a Blue Mountains restaurant is included today.
